Good Food Drive Supports Needy Families of Cheyenne with Healthy Food Options

Practitioners from the Wyoming Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association are hosting The Good Food Drive in Cheyenne, WY and other communities around their clinics throughout Wyoming.  The Food Drive collects healthy, organic, non-GMO, non-perishable food items at practitioner clinic locations. The food items are given to needy Wyoming families.

The food items for donation are primarily purchased from Natural Grocers - Vitamin Cottage, Whole Foods, and other natural food stores since there are limited healthy food options available in typical grocery stores that are both organic and non-GMO. Please contact us at WYAOMA if more information is needed in order to make the appropriate donation wyaoma.org (307) 433-4010.

The Good Food Drive was created as an alternative to the typical food drives that typically collect items that are high in sodium, fat and processed, non-organic, genetically modified ingredients. Since the Wyoming Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association consists of natural health care providers, these practitioners want to offer healthier food options for struggling families.  Food is medicine. High quality, nutrient dense foods are the best medicine for maintaining optimal health!

The Food Drive will be held throughout 2014 in various communities throughout Wyoming in association with member practitioners and their clinics.
